Q. I am in my 40s and married for 10 years. What do you do when your husband uses sex as a weapon and doesn’t give you some for months!!! How do I handle this rejection?
A. First, I would suggest that you establish your worth and self esteem from God. You must build your confidence and affirmation by knowing what God says about you through reading the word of God, prayer, meditating and speaking the word. This will help you overcome any feelings of rejection.
I would also suggest that you find out from your spouse what is causing him to withhold sex & intimacy from you if you don’t already know the answer. If you know what your husband desires and it’s in your ability to give it him – do it! I would also suggest that you let your husband know that his behavior is hurtful to you. He may not even be aware of this hurtful cycle to your marriage.
