- Buy a red rose
- Take them to lunch
- Kiss them passionately
- Tell them a funny joke
- Find a passage from a book & read it to your spouse
- Rent a funny movie
- Pamper your spouse after work
- Buy a card
- Play a board game/cards
- Leave a message on the answering machine at work/home
- Let your spouse know how much you miss them while they were at work/away
- Treat them to breakfast
- Purchase/Make their favorite dessert and eat it by candlelight
- Watch their favorite show
- Take a walk together
- Find a poem (internet, library, or write one) that will express your feelings & read it to them
- Take your family out for a treat (i.e. ice cream, slurpee)
- Pray together
- Make love (minister) to your spouse
- Give your spouse a foot massage
- Turn on some music and dance with your spouse
- Cook dinner together
- Speak in love all day (i.e. no nagging or negative )
- Look in the local paper and find an event you can do together or as a family
- Before bed, fix them a nighttime beverage/snack (i.e. hot tea, coffee)
- Make a decision to change one behavior your spouse does not like
- Hug them
- Start a tradition
- Let your spouse know what you love about them
- Schedule a family meeting and just talk
